I know there is discussion about the colour choices of the upcoming GT in 2023 model year such as adding Yacht Blue and Runaway Red

However i would like to see some of the colours from the mid / entry trim such as Deepforest Green amd Interstellar Grey be offered in the GT Line trims as a paint colour shouldn’t be too much for a production line to pump out

As much as having a GT would be cool i don’t think $15k premium (likely) nor increased insurance costs is going to be worth it as im not going to be drifting on my Sunday afternoon in the city

Anyway i’d rather have different paint colours in the GT Line with features i want as the entry/mid trims don’t have things i want/need rather than Kia focusing on matte paints which look cool but hard to maintain

Currently have deposit down for wait list to order when Kia opens up again for GT Line 2 in Canada with Yacht Blue, Runway Red and the white in the GT Line 2 in colour choices

I’m not a big fan of black colours because it shows dirt and paint swirls/scratch easily (but likely going to do ceramic coating)and doesnt show side door accent in the case of EV6 which is growing on me as initially didnt like but after design language explained in reviews shows it ties into rear light bar / spoiler which i do like and others hate

I’m not really a fan of white cars either eapecially being in Canada and lots of snow and if your car rusts due to salt more apparent than others to show it but i’ll be rust checking car with oil spray likely

Trim levels aside my preference would likely be deep forest green, interstellar grey, yacht blue, runway red and then others.

I think red would probably lead to being flagged by cops/insurance rates easier but i’ve heard insurance doesnt base on colours anymore

I already have a car with colour similar to the yacht blue that i will be getting rid of when i get this but blue is best choice of colours i could choose from

The matte paint is of no interest to me

Kia introduced the all-new EV6 for the 2022 model year. The EV6 is Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle and is built on the brand’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) that will underpin future models. After coming out with an all-new vehicle, the 2023 Kia EV6 will arrive as a carryover model

The current EV6 features a bold, futuristic design that will continue into 2023. The sporty electric car's front end features large triangular headlights, a slim grille, and an angular front fascia that slightly protrudes in front of the hatchback. The EV6 features a heavily raked roofline that naturally flows into the liftgate giving the EV6 a built-in spoiler. The rear end has a futuristic taillight design that runs the entire width of the EV6 and follows the curvature of the body. With short overhangs and a hunkered-down design, the EV6 looks sportier than the majority of other electric cars on the market

The 2023 EV6 features the same interior design as the electric car that’s currently on sale. On the inside, the EV6 has a thoroughly modern design with two large screens, a two-prong steering wheel, and angular lines. The dashboard has slim lines that highlight the screens, while the angular vents run nearly the full width of the dash. The EV6 has a row of buttons and knobs for ease of use, as well as a rotary shifter that frees up space in the center console

On the tech front, the 2023 EV6 retains the standard 12. 3-inch instrument cluster, 12. 3-inch touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice recognition, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, four audio speakers, and a wireless charging pad. Available tech features include a Meridian audio system

The most notable change for 2023 is the change to the EV6 lineup. Kia is no longer offering the base single-motor Light trim. All trims will now feature a 77. 4-kWh battery pack offering from 206 to 310 miles of range, depending on the configuration. Also new for the 2023 model year is the top-of-the-line EV6 GT, which develops 576 hp and features sport suspension, upgraded brakes, and an electronic limited-slip differential

The 2023 EV6 also retains the outgoing model's extensive list of advanced safety features. Forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, Kia’s Highway Driving Assist system, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, lane following assist, a driver attention monitor, high beam assist, automatic emergency braking, and rear-seat alert are standard. Available features include parking sensors, an augmented reality head-up display, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, a surround-view monitor, and a blind spot monitor camera

Pricing & Release Date

The 2023 Kia EV6 should arrive in the fall of 2022

With the departure of the Light trim, the 2023 Kia EV6 sees a significant price increase relative to last year. Though the 2023 Wind trim's base price increased by $1,000, its $49,795 MSRP (with destination) is $7,100 more than a 2022 EV6 Light. The 2023 EV6 no longer qualifies for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit as it doesn't meet the new North American final assembly requirements, so it's effectively $14,600 more expensive this year. The new EV6 GT starts at $62,695
