Compared to fixed-end type, collapsible flatracks have end walls that fold. The flushfolding collapsible flatrack, the most sophisticated of its types has end walls which fold flush with the base.Flatracks are dedicated for the carriage of heavy, bulky as well as over height and/ or over width items.

They also permit the stacking of several empty containers into one 'bundle' for empty repositionning. Their base is often designed to transport heavy material. Some flats are 45T tested. The flatracks with collapsible ends also permit the transportation of over length cargo.

Innovative, planet-friendly containers

Our new containers have a floor made of bamboo, a plant that grows more rapidly and can be harvested after 4 to 7 years rather than the 60 years required for the tropical timber traditionally used.

A light-steel container generation using highly resilient steel enables us to save 500 kg per tare for a high-cube cargo container, leading to a saving of 1 to 2 tons of fuel per day for a 10,000 TEU ship, for example. That translates into 3 to 6 tons fewer carbon emissions for cargo shipments.

Our refrigerated containers [link to refrigerated containers] use a low-consumption technology that cuts electricity consumption by two-thirds. That reduces carbon emissions and can save tons of fuel over the course of journeys.

Our containers use next-generation connectivity that can continuously monitor your cargo when- and wherever it is. Our Smart dry container solution helps optimize your operations and cuts the operating costs arising from your cargo shipments.
