Laptop under guarantee.Fault developed

Laptop under guarantee.Fault developed. Got a DIY service. Advised to reset battery. IT Expert told me this was responsible for the disruption/loss of email, which Acer denied.I was misinformed, refused assistance and to speak to a manager. Admin staff totally incompetent. Acer Aspire Laptop very poor value for money

Horrible experience with this crowd

Horrible experience with this crowd. Laptop never delivered and would not refund me in a timely manner do that I could purchase another one from a different vendor. They said they had to wait for a investigation to be completed, basically accusing me of fraud, outrageous.

Id put zero if I could

Id put zero if I could. Honestly dreadful customer service and experience all over. They sent me the incorrect product. When informed of their mistake they asked me if I wanted to keep it [a laptop not even half of the price of what I paid!!] when I told them this and said I wanted it replaced with the laptop I actually ordered, I was sent a returns label and told I had 14 days to organise a return or I wouldnt get my refund.

Case ID 2275852N
Ive been really struggling to fix the issue with my laptop as its gone beyond the joke.

I spoke to one of your really unprofessional and rude advisors today who was so unwilling to fix and promised me to call me back within 2 hrs. Unfortunately, waited all day, later found out my issue was fixed- Massive Lie.
I would like someone to look at it and get it fixed would be appreciated.

Acer UK need to change there couriers

Acer UK need to change there couriers
Acer UK need to change there couriers UPS as they are so unprofessional as they came to my home on Friday 3rd Dec without transportation box for £1,400 pound faulty laptop, rebooked courier today 6th Dec told 4pm to 7pm courier arrived. Courier arrived less than 2 hours later. Rang UPS again told pickup tomorrow between 1pm to 7pm so why not pick up to day. Told by UPS Id get call back which never happened so missed all the time slots today. Acer need to address their couriers or at least change couriers for a better company. as I've not spent £1,400 pounds on a laptop to be messed about by there couriers. I'm disgusted with both companies now never again I just hope they fix the faults with my laptop now if not I'll be seeking a refund

Nightmare

Honestly I could of gotten a PHD, built a time machine and given my laptop to cavemen to fix, and they would have fixed quicker than ASUS.
These guys have been fixing my laptop for well over 2 months and have screwed up too many times to count. Would of had the fixed laptop delivered to me yesterday but they cocked up the delivery and now have me waiting until December to have it delivered again even though THEY screwed it up. They made multiple guarantees Id have my laptop The next week which fell short as they sent me about 7 emails saying Theyve found an error
Honestly its been a true nightmare. STILL havent got my laptop, even though its fixed and sitting at their warehouse or whatever.

Never going to buy a laptop from this company ever again.

Run away from Acer

Run away from Acer. Do not buy it.
I bought a laptop and it is super slow, I contact the support before the warranty is over, and now when I finally convinced them that thare is a problem they want me to pay a charge to send the computer.
The worst computer that I had and I paid £650.

Never buy an Acer laptop

Never buy an Acer laptop. There is a design flaw in the charging connection. In three months time it becomes too loose to make a connection to charge. I have already returned it twice for repairs in less than 7 months. I bought an extended warranty so I guess as long as I send it back every few months for repairs it will keep working. Plus the the touch pad is way too sensitive and it jumps all over the place. I wish I had read the reviews here before I bought it.

acer extensa 15 215 51

Bought a laptop acer extensa 15 215 51 paid 850euro in Harvey norman. 1 year and 1 month the hinge ripped the screws out of the lid cover, need new lid, I can't believe the bad quality for this price, my last laptop paid half the price,Toshiba and had it for nearly 10 years all strong and someone is still using it now probably, this acer is in bits tge screws came out with the plastic bit they were screwed in. I cared for it like it was my own baby not a mark on it, extremely disappointed to pay 850 for 1 year of use can't find parts anywhere, can't use it , can't repair it I will never buy an acer again in my life. I only used it for 5 months of college in total 3 or 4 hours a day, opened and closed the lid no more than 800 times,no I can't use it at all and I'm stuck for a laptop for college, will I get another acer, lol, no way never, expensive crap

Aspire 3 - don't!!

I have a one year old Aspire 3. Seemed ok at first. But is it the machine or the pathetic Microsoft Edge that reduces it to snails pace.
My 12 year old laptop is lightening fast by comparison. My smartphone even faster.

Some companies believe their own PR. Never, ever, again.

It works - but all things are relative

Keep away from Acer products

Purchased a gaming laptop in November 2020, the Acer Predator Helios 300 model PH317-54-734U with more than decent specs as followed: Intel Core i7-10750H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6, 16GB DDR4 2933MHz memory, 512 GB PCIe SSD + 1TB HDD. Overall, a gaming laptop for the latest games that would run them on high settings at over 60 FPS.
When I have received the laptop as an occasional gamer I was quite excited about it, I did noticed some kind of liquid drip from the fans but didn't pay much attention to it at the time, little did I know that not even one year after I will have issues with the laptop. The device started not to power on, after which I said OK, I'll deal with it. Started with the basics, checked the cables, checked in other sockets, making sure that the laptop received power and charging the battery, all checked out. After some research online I found out that it may be static accumulated and a simple solution would have been to remove the battery connection, leave for 2 minutes and the try to use the LAPTOP, so I went and did that and for my surprise it worked for a few days, then it completely stopped powering on. After pressing the power button the laptop keyboard lit up as usual, the fans went at full rpm and then after 5 seconds the device powered off. I said fine, it seems that it's beyond my control, I'll have to send it to the repair centre or sort it out with the retailer that I have made the purchase from. Called the retailer that of course referred me to the manufacturer, called the manufacturer Acer in this case, arranged a repair for the laptop, got the labels, got a box, got bubble wrap and away it went for the repair. About 7 or 8 days later I received an email from the repair centre that confirmed that the laptop needs a repair but I will have to pay for it as they have found signs of liquid damage [the only liquid that ever touched that laptop was from the inside of the device, it was only kept on a laptop folding table or in bed], even though it was under warranty, even though I have mentioned all about the leak when I have discussed with the customer representative when I have arranged the repair. Like mentioned, I have purchased the laptop in November 2020 for £1300, the repair as per their email was a little under £1900. I ended up calling the customer service, I have spoke with a very nice representative that mentioned that he will talk with his manager about an exception for a free repair, hearing that I've left it in their hands. A week goes by and I don't have any update, so of course I call the service center again, I explain the whole situation to the representative and from her I receive the answer that they cannot do anything about it unless I pay for the repair, as I have paid the £1300 for the device as new now they were asking another £1900 for a repair sounded absolutely ridiculous, so of course I refused, she mentioned that there is a fee for sending the laptop back to me, a fee that I knew about after the first call when I have arranged the repair, I've decided to do that even though the fee was not small at all, £50. For my surprise, even though I have no idea why I was surprised, the laptop was outside the bubble wrap envelope just laying in the box, exposed with the back side of the display touching the cardboard box.
A very bad experience with Acer, I do not recommend anyone to buy their products, not just laptops. So know I am left with a hole in the pocket for £1300 and an extra £50 for the shipping and another £50 from a repair service. A disaster with the whole process of getting it fixed and an utterly disgust about the quality of the product, they way the are handling their customers and the insane amount of money they are asking for a repair of which cause started as soon as the device left the factory.
Later edit: had the laptop over a fixing service shop, they've basically said that the liquid is not from water as there is no corrosion on the motherboard, mentioning that what they found was oily and grease like. It seems that the laptop left the factory with too much mechanical fluid on the cooling fans.

Worst Service ever

Even 1 star is more, I would give negative if I could. I ordered Acer laptop a little more than a month ago from Ireland. They never mentioned about extra tax amount I need to pay while ordering. When I got delivery, UPS [delivery company] asked for 255 euro tax amount for 800 euro laptop. I was shocked. I did not receive the laptop from delivery guy. I contacted Acer customer service right away and they said they will pay the tax amount themselves. I waited for 2 weeks for them to pay. They never paid. So I asked for refund of the money which I paid for the laptop. They said they can only refund once they receive the laptop. It has been 20 days without any progress. I need to call them every single week and they say they are trying but nothing happens. It's really frustrating. Never buying anything from Acer ever again.

Dont by an Acer Laptop

Bought a laptop from Argos 6 months ago, laptop taking 10 minutes to start up before not starting up at all. contacted Argos who told me to contact Acer. Acer asked me to send laptop to them. Before I know Im being sent invoices for £150 to repair a broken screen, or £50 to send the non fixed laptop back to me. Despite back and forth emails explaining that it was not a broken screen that was my issue. For all I know the courier did not take care in delivering it to them, or their warehouse knocked about the equipment. Got no where. Do not buy products from either Argos, who were no help either. or Acer. They dont honour warranty at all. You will just spend more money and get whole lot of stress.
