Task 1 [IELTS Simulation Writing Test 6]

Câu hỏi : The bar graph below shows the amount of carbon emissions in different countries during three different years. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart illustrates how much the amount of carbonemitted in thousand metric tonnes [TMT] in some countries between 1975 and 2005.

Overall, there were increases in the quantities of carbon emissions in most of the countries surveyed,except forGermany and the UK. Especially, the USA and China made up the majority of the amount of carbon emitted compared to the others.

Specifically, in the USA, starting with just over 1,200,000 in 1975, the amounts ofexhaust fumeswent up to about 1,300,000 in 1990 before reaching a peak at 1,600,000 TMT in 15 years later. Meanwhile, the figure for China, despite commencing with just 300,000 in 1975 and rising slightly to approximately 650,000 in 1990,rocketed tojust over 1,500,000 TMT in 2005.

Meanwhile, Canada and India also underwentnegligible improvementsin the levels of carbon emissions with roughly 150,000 and 350,000 TMT in 1975, respectively. Previously, the figure for Canadastayed nearlyunchangeablefrom 1975 to 1990 at about 100,000 TMT and the number for India was 50,000 in 1975 before growing to almost 200,000 TMT in fifteen years later. However, the amounts of carbon emissions in Germany insignificantly decreased from about 260,000 in 1975 and 1990 to just over 200,000 TMT in 2005. The figure for the UK was even lower, with just roughly 180,000 in 1975 before decreasing slightly to 170,000 in 1990 and then increasing to about 175,000 TMT in 2005. [238 words]

On the one hand,having a foray intothis course might help students prepare well for their future work. Thisis akin toa period ofinternshipfor students before official graduation. Not only does itfurnishthemselveswithpractical skills and knowledge related to real jobs but it alsomakes sensein making studentsproficient inwork they wouldlandin the future. Also,doing thiscourse works wonderfor theirorientation towardsacareer pathbecause they could access the real working environment. They couldfollow an individual course in the futuresuch as getting an ideal job or even having a start-upin light of the pros and consthey realize while working.

Thân Bài 2

On the other hand, a financial burden anda heavy scheduleare unavoidable once students undergo a period of working for free. Several unexpected expenses are not likely to be affordable for most of the studentsdependent upontheir families. The longerthe extra curriculumis, the more pressure in terms of finance students and theirkindred endure, including costs of commute, accommodation, and food. Moreover, most colleges and universitiesdesign a wide and intensive curriculumfor their learners;thereupon, students have to study andwork against the clocktomeetdifferentdeadlines in school as well as the workplace rather than spending more time on leisure or voluntary activities.
