Automatic Updates - Important Note
Customers should use extreme caution when applying automatic updates to Windows VM's. The Windows Server 2012r2 image is optimised to run on the Joyent Public Cloud and includes drivers that are essential to the operation of network and disk IO. Updates or changes to
the network or disk drivers may cause the Windows VM to become inaccessible and unrecoverable. In turn this may result in data loss.
Joyent Support cannot perform any recovery action on Windows VM's that are rendered inaccessible due to the application of Windows updates. VM's affected in this way will need to be recreated and data recovered from backups. It is the customers responsibility to ensure they have adequate backups of their applications and
data.
