For today, I’m gonna be reviewing the Klais Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++.

I was really happy to receive this product from Wishtrend.Com and to be able to join the beauty blogger community that is currently doing reviews for this cream. Even though it was sent by Wishtrend, everything written here is my honest opinion. I didn’t gain any profit from the review.

Loại Blemish Cream – BB Cream này được khẳng định là:

1. Phù hợp với nhiều loại da, trong đó có da khô, da nhạy cảm, da mụn, da đang lão hóa.

2. Được thiết kế để hợp với mọi tông da.

3. Đóng vai trò là kem chống nắng, kem lót, kem nền, phấn phủ chỉ trong cùng một sản phẩm.

This Blemish Cream – BB Cream claims to:

1. Be suitable for all skin types, including dry skin, sensitive skin, trouble skin and aging skin.

2. Be designed to fit all skin tones.

3. Act as a sunscreen+primer+foundation+finishing powder. All in just one product.

Những khẳng định có vẻ rất “tham vọng” đúng không? Vậy cùng xem sản phẩm này có đảm bảo được tất cả các tính năng trên không nhé.

Let’s see if these ambitious claims are actually true!

Bao bì/Packaging:

Về mặt bao bì, tuýp BB Cream thon dài chứa 40ml sản phẩm, nhiều hơn các kem nền với khối lượng/thể tích trung bình khoảng 30g-30ml. Theo mình thì với lượng sản phẩm thế này, bạn có thể dùng nó được trong thời gian khá lâu.

Điểm mình thích đó là tuýp bóp rất dễ dàng để điều chỉnh lượng sản phẩm mình muốn lấy ra. Kể cả khi dùng gần hết mà bạn muốn lấy hết toàn bộ sản phẩm ra thì cũng có thể dùng kéo để cắt vỏ ra 😉

It comes in a 40ml squeez tube. So it contains more than how much a normal, standard foundation does, which is around 30ml. I think this product is gonna last you quite a long time.

What I like about this packaging is that it’s really easy to control the amount of product your squeezing out. And when you’re almost out of it, you can cut the tube open and take all the rest of the product out.

Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene glycol, Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, Betaine, Cetyl ethylhexanoate, Titanium dioxide, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Niacinamide, Polysorbate 60, Dimethicone, Cetyl peg/ppg-10/1 dimethicone, Zinc oxide, Yellow oxide of iron, Isoamyl p-methoxycinnamate, Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, Bentonite, Sodium chloride, Silica, Red oxide of iron, Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, Stearic acid, Dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, Chlorphenesin, Talc, Black oxide of iron , Tocopheryl acetate, Fragrance, Centella asiatica extract, Sodium hyaluronate, Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice) root extract, Portulaca oleracea extract, Piper methysticum leaf/root/stem extract, Illicium verum(anise) fruit extract, Citrus paradisi(grapefruit) fruit extract, Nelumbium speciosum flower extract, Paeonia suffruticosa root extract, Scutellaria baicalensis root extract, 1,2-hexanediol, Caprylyl glycol, Butylene glycol, Allantoin, Adenosine, Sodium ascorbyl phosphate, Linum usitatissimum (linseed) seed extract, Hibiscus esculentus fruit extract, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, Arctium lappa root extract, Hibiscus mutabilis flower extract, Corchorus olitorius leaf extract

Nhìn vào danh sách thành phần, chúng mình có thể thấy đứng đầu là nước và một silicone nhẹ, bay hơi sau khi bôi lên da nên không quá dày và “bí” trên da. Sau đó là Butylene glycol với vai trò là solvent và vừa có tính nắng hút ẩm cho da, sau đó là thành phần chống nắng hóa học Octinoxate giúp bảo vệ da khỏi tia UVB. Bản thân mình thì không có vấn đề gì với thành phần này, tuy nhiên, với phụ nữ đang có thai, hoặc bạn nào biết chắc chắn mình bị dị ứng với nó thì nên tránh nhé. Nhưng không chỉ có Octinoxate là thành phần chống nắng ở đây, Klairs còn sử dụng Amiloxate, Uvinul A Plus, Tinosorb S, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide là các thành phần chống nắng, tuy nhiên với nồng độ ít hơn cần thiết, chúng không tạo được chỉ số chống nắng cao cho sản phẩm này, SPF 40 rất ổn nhưng PA++ thì có lẽ hơi…lỗi thời rồi.

Looking at the ingredient list, we can see the very first two ingredients are water and a volatile silicone, which means that it will evaporate and not leave a heavy layer on your skin. After those, we have Butylene Glycol which acts as a solvent and has hydrating ability. Then we see the main sunscreen ingredient here which is Octinoxate. It helps to protect your skin from UVB rays. I have no problem with this chemical sunscreen ingredient, but I would recommend that pregnant women and people who have allergic reaction to this ingredient stay away from it. Other sunscreen ingredients used in this product are Amiloxate, Uvinul A Plus, Tinosorb S, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, but with less than the desired amount, they don’t make up a good enough amount of sun protection. SPF 40 is really good, but only PA++?

Tiếp theo, chúng ta thấy sự xuất hiện của các thành phần dưỡng ẩm như Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate để hút ẩm cho da, các thành phần có tính ẩm cao và tạo màng để ngăn không cho độ ẩm thoát khỏi ra như Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Dimethicone,…, đồng thời chứa Niacinamide – Vitamin B3 giúp da chống mất nước qua biểu bì, giữ da khỏe mạnh hơn, tuy nhiên, không biết nồng độ sử dụng ở đây là bao nhiêu, liệu có đủ để phát huy tác dụng làm giảm thâm, sáng da, trị mụn, chống lão hóa của nó hay không.

Next, we see the presence of humectants like Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate which are gonna draw moisture into your skin, and emollients/occlusives like Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Dimethicone which will help to trap the moisture inside your skin. It also contains Niacinamide – a form of Vitamin B3 that helps to prevent transepidermal water loss and keep skin healthy. But because the information of how much of this ingredient in here is not provided so I don’t know if it’s enough to help with dark spots, brightening up the skin, acnes and anti-aging or not.

Ngoài ra, sản phẩm này có sử dụng nhiều các chiết xuất tự nhiên, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Allantoin, Adenosine,…có tác dụng tốt cho da. Tuy nhiên, vì chúng đều đứng sau fragrance trong danh sách thành phần nên mình nghĩ rằng chúng sẽ không có nhiều tác dụng cho da của bạn đâu.

Also, this product contains quite a lot of extracts, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Allantoin, Adenosine that are good for the skin. But because they are all behind Fragrance in the ingredient list, I think they won’t be effective.

Kết cấu-màu sắc/Texture-color

Như các bạn thấy, nó có kết cấu khá tiêu chuẩn của một BB Cream truyền thống. Creamy nhưng hơi giống dạng gel, không quá đặc và bột, mà cũng không lỏng như nước.

Chất kem ẩm và rất dễ tán trên da, mình có thể apply loại này tương đối nhanh chỉ với đầu ngón tay mà không cần cọ.

Về màu sắc, đây là một màu vàng sáng, tông trung tính, không quá lạnh cũng không quá ấm, không ngả đào cũng không ngả xanh, và chắc chắn không có màu xám xám của nhiều loại BB Cream đời đầu. Mình nghĩ một màu sắc thế này dù sẽ không chuẩn 100% với mọi tông da, nhưng sẽ rất ổn trên da thuộc khoảng NC/NW15-NC/NW20 của MAC.

Like you can see, it has a standard, typical texture of a BB Cream. It’s creamy, a bit gel like, not too thick and powdery, but not too thin.

The texture is very moisturizing and blendable on the skin. I can apply it fairly quickly with just my fingers.

Color wise, it has a light yellow skintone color. It’s a neutral yellow tone, not too cool, not too warm, and it’s definitely not a gray color like a lot of the older BB Creams. I think this color might not be 100% perfect for everyone, bit it would suit you really well if you have NC/NW15-NC/NW20 skin in MAC.

Độ che phủ-Hiệu ứng-Độ bám/Coverage-Finish-Lasting Power

Như các bạn thấy, da mộc của mình khi test cũng có phần da không đều màu, vết thâm nhẹ và da hơi đỏ lên, lí do gì thì mình xin khất ở bài sau nha.

Và sau khi apply một lớp BB Cream, thì da mình đã đều màu, vết đỏ đã được che đi, và nếu các bạn có thể nhìn rõ được lớp nền của mình bên ngoài thì sẽ thấy được độ che phủ rất khá của nó mặc dù mình chỉ dùng một lượng sản phẩm nhỏ. Mình đánh giá nó so với các loại BB Cream khác mình đã từng thử là có độ che phủ trung bình, nếu da bạn có mụn, chắc chắn sẽ cần thêm kem che khuyết điểm vì không thể mong nó che được hết mụn của mình nha.

As you can see, my bare skin was kinda uneven in tone, has some faint dark spots and some redness.

After I apply a layer of this BB Cream, my skin is all evened out, the redness is covered, and the BB Cream on my skin looks even better in real life. Considering how little product I used, I think it has a good medium coverage compared to a lot of other BB Creams I’ve tried. If you have ances, you’re gonna have to use an additional concealer. Can’t expect it to cover up all your blemishes.

Lớp BB Cream khi đã set hoàn toàn trên da sẽ để lại lớp bóng tự nhiên, không lung linh như có nhũ, không bóng nhờn, nhưng làm da nhìn căng mọng hơn. Các bạn nào có da dầu thì có thể sẽ phải cần đến phấn phủ vì loại BB Cream này khá dính và ẩm *hồi trước khi tìm review về nó thì mình thấy người ta cũng nhận xét là nó dính :(*. Tuy ẩm nhưng cảm giác cũng không bị nặng mặt hay quá ẩm trên làn da dầu của mình.

Với thành phần như mình đã phân tích qua ở trên, có thể khẳng định BB Cream này có độ ẩm tốt, kể cả bên ngoài trời có lạnh hơn thì mình không thấy da bị khô đi, nó giữ được đổ ẩm cho da rất tốt mà không làm da bị đổ dầu thêm.

After the BB Cream has completely set on my face, it leaves a natural luminous finish, just like the name. It doesn’t look glittery nor greasy, it just makes your skin look more supple. If you have oily skin, I think you’ll need to use a powder on top because it’s quite sticky. But the good thing is it doesn’t feel too heavy or oily on my oily skin.

With the ingredients posted above, we can see why this BB Cream has such good moisturizing property to it. Even when it gets more chill outside, my skin still feel really hydrated without oiling up.

Về độ kiềm dầu? Sản phẩm này chứa các thành phần có khả năng hút dầu như Bentonite, Talc, Silica, chính vì thế nó có sở hữu khả năng kiềm dầu. Tuy không cao trên làn da dầu của mình nhưng mình nghĩ các bạn có da ít dầu hơn sẽ thấy hiệu quả hút dầu rõ hơn.

Một điểm mình rất thích ở loại BB Cream này chính là dù nó ẩm, nhưng không bị chảy, bị trôi nhanh trong ngày. Sau tận 11 tiếng, dù da mình không còn đẹp như khi mới makeup, nhưng độ che phủ vẫn còn khoảng 65%! Chưa kể đến việc là màu sắc giữ tốt trong ngày, không bị oxi hóa, xuống màu làm tối sầm mặt. Trong ảnh so sánh nhìn có thể là hơi tối màu hơn, nhưng đó là do ánh sáng mà thôi :3

About the oil-control? Because this BB Cream contains oil-absorbing ingredients like Betonite, Talc and Silica, it definitely can absorb the extra oil your skin produces throughout the day. I have a really oily skin so the oil-control is so so on me, but if your skin is less oily than mine, you’ might see the effect better.

Another thing that I really like about this product is its good lasting power. After 11 hours, even though my makeup doesn’t look as good as when I just put it on, the coverage left is really round 65% and I don’t look like a zombie! Not to mention the freshness of the BB Cream, it doesn’t oxidize throughout the day, which I appreciate very much.

Kết luận/Final verdict:

1/Ưu điểm/Pros

– Che phủ ổn/Good coverage

– Chất kem dễ tán/Blendable texture

– Độ ẩm tốt nhưng không tạo hiệu ứng bóng nhờn trên da/Good moisturizing properties but doesn’t make skin look overly oily

– Có khả năng kiềm dầu/Has oil-control power

– Không xuống màu/Doesn’t oxidize

– Độ bám tốt/Good lasting power

2/Nhược điểm/Con

– Độ chống nắng không cao. Nhưng dù sao thì bạn vẫn không thể dùng sản phẩm này thay hoàn toàn cho kem chống nắng được, lời khuyên chung vẫn là dùng kem chống nắng riêng trước khi makeup./The sun protection could be higher. But it’s always recommended to use a seperate sunscreen before you start your makeup, so don’t rely solely on this for the sun protection.

Dù nó có thể chưa hoàn hảo được như quảng cáo, mình vẫn nghĩ đây là một loại BB Cream tốt, phù hợp với nhiều loại da. Các bạn da khô có thể dùng nó rất ổn, da dầu có thể phủ thêm phấn phủ nếu thấy cần. Mình vẫn hy vọng hãng sáng sẽ có thể sản xuất thêm nhiều sản phẩm makeup nữa, và mình sẽ lại lên cơn cuồng mỹ phẩm tiếp thôi >”<

So even though it’s not a perferct product, it’s still a really good BB Cream that is suitable for lots of skin types. If you have dry skin, you can use it with no problem. If you have oily skin, just dust a little bit of a mattifying powder on top if you need to. I still hope that Klairs will make more makeup products and I will be possibly be obsessed and want to try them all LOL
