1. how good are MQA streams in comparison to non-MQA files from Tidal?

My DAC is the Mytek Brooklyn Bridge. Its MQA certified. Ive done comparison on Tidal between MQA and non-MQA tracks (same song), the difference is slightly audible only.

The Matrix Mini i-3 pro does not unfold MQA but in terms of sound quality, its a better DAC.

I find whats important is the track, how well its recorded and mastered.

With the right hard disk or SSD storage and used through the right component, it can be at par or better than Tidal. I do like DSD, with the right album/track it sounds good. Very good. Beats Tidal for sure.

Tidal quality is good. I got no complains. Best part is, its convenient.
