*come by the hour or else your sessions here will be cut short if you have more than one massage planned [e.g: 5PM, 6PM, 7PM. Not 5.30PM, 6.30PM, 7.30PM - otherwise you’ll get less than 30mins of the first massage which was what happened to us]
Came with some friends for a massage on the 20th September after hearing that they were the best. I beg to differ after my experience.
We arrived at around 5.10pm and were set by 5.15pm to do a foot massage [60mins] first, followed by a therapeutic massage [60mins].
Since we didn’t arrive by the hour, the front desk staff informed us that the foot massage would last a little less than an hour. No issues there, we just wanted the massage.
The masseuse really took their time and so we only started at 5.35pm and that was just the feet washing. So we actually got about 15-20mins of actual massage, and with this 15-20mins it was just pure rush. They didn’t do a good job. They did not focus on any pressure points, and they used brute strength that did nothing for our legs and feet [not the kind that loosens your muscles].
We were clearly unhappy because we wasted 400baht [approx SGD16] for 15-20mins of just painful pinching and scraping from their knuckles. Also, the masseuse who attended to my friend also promptly walked off without a word before the time was up [6PM] until I asked my own masseuse if the massage was done for my friend, and that was when we found out that it was finished.
We spoke to two of the front desk staff to ask for a possibility of another 30mins of foot massage after the therapeutic session because the first 15-20mins was unacceptable, but they only shook their heads and said “no”. You could see from their faces they were clearly not interested and annoyed even after we shared about our experience.
We decided not to let the first massage ruin our next therapeutic massage. The massage was better except at one point, my masseuse raised his voice at me “FLIP! FLIP!” really rudely halfway through when he wanted me to lie on my stomach. I was awake so I did not find that necessary. Even if the customer was asleep, I don’t think that’s the right way to go about it.
Also, when I told my masseuse twice that the warm cloth he was patting on my back was “too hot” [quite literally stinging, I’m seriously wondering why they used such hot water] he only laughed at me and repeated “too hot too hot” and continued. He understands English fine when he asked me which areas he needed to focus on before the massage. After he was done, he left the area without a word, leaving me to lie there dumbly on my stomach. Only after my friend’s masseuse thanked her and left did I realise the massage was over.
I’ve been to many massage places in Thailand and Malaysia but this is by far the one with the worst experience I’ve had that I felt inclined to write a bad review.
Nice place, nice atmosphere. But I can’t say the same about their customer service and massages. One-star.
FYI: we were polite to the staffs the entire time as any normal person would be.

Went here with a group of friends. My friend and I chose the 1hr foot massage and 1hr therapeutic massage while the rest took other options.
Understood when they informed us that the therapist was only avaliable at 6pm so we had to cut short our foot massage. Back then when they informed us , it was around 5.05pm. We agreed only bcos we were only be short change of 10mins considering it might take awhile for them to bring us to the rooms. The only reason we agreed was because when we ask if we can have our legs massage after the therapy, they refused to allow us. We were actually willing to wait till 6 to start our massage but since they didn't allow we didnt think much to it.
However, once everything was agreed, the receptionist told us to wait for our masseuse and that was when they took their time with everything. By the time the masseuse settled us down it was around 5.30pm. And after cleaning our feet it was about 5.35pm.
The masseuse barely did any thing. It felt very rushing the entire time and she did not even press on the points well. It was as if she just skim past most of the steps. Most of the time she was just massaging the thigh and even so it was done half heartedly. It was worse on the right leg as she seemed to even forget to do some parts and she suddenly disappeared halfway through the session without saying anything. All in all the foot massage session ended at 5.55pm. That's only 20mins of foot massage for both legs.
During this time we did mention to the masseuse that they have been very rushing so they called a receptionist over. They explained to us it was bcos of therapy was starting soon.
However, we were alr short change of more than 30mins of our massage and we paid full price for it. They didn't allow for half a refund of the price or even let us have any continuation of the 30mins. And the entire time when we were explaining to the receptionist about the whole ordeal, they seem unhappy with us and they only said that we knew about it. Yes we knew we would be short change of 10mins, not 40mins of our foot massage with a half passed job of 20mins massage which did not help me at the end.
The only solution they could give us was to cancel our therapy session and to continue our foot massage which was ridiculous bcos they had done a bad job.
The only reason why this post is having a 2 star review is only bcos my therapist did a good job in releasing all the knots on my neck and shoulders whereas my friend did not had such a good experience for her therapy massage.
I would definitely not recommend this place as although this massage place is relatively cheaper than other places, it's really based on luck on whether u will get a good masseuse or not. For such a big organisation with good facilities, the receptionist were not patient with us either when we raise our problems. Instead they could not give us a better solution and when we told them our masseuse did a bad job, they relayed the message in a sarcastic tone.

A large place consisting of several floors, the first time I visited there, I was surprised by the crowds, it's better to make a reservation via the website first. Very neat queuing system and senior therapists, even though they are old, they really understand massage techniques. I tried Thai massage with herbal compress, and I really like the massage, I will come back again. The price they offer is cheap compared to the quality they provide. No wonder this place is always crowded.

One of the highlights of our every trip to Bangkok is to visit Health Land. After whole day of shopping and moving around the foot massage and body are a very welcome treat for your feet’s and body. Went here twice during my recent trip. Wifey loves the 2 hour body massage. Till next time :]

Standards have dropped over the years. I used to go there only during my trips. This time, after the initial disappoint, I tried one near the hotel which turned out great and at 2/3 of the price. Save the hassle of going there and paying for a price that may not justify the visit.

Very attentive staff, very beautiful facility. This was the first time we had tried a traditional Thai massage. This spa was recommended by a local guide.

J’y suis allé plusieurs fois et je n’ai jamais été déçu des massages traditionnelles Thaï. Juste une fois pour un foot massage. Je trouve le concept très pro et sérieux. Je recommande.

Went two hours foot massage, environment is ok yet air conditioner alike refrigerator……maybe I’m unlucky that the massage girl seems new to the industry n no energy at all….,wasted my two hour time n definitely won’t come back 🥲

If I'm not mistaken, it will not be possible to do different treatments in the same room. Only if all are doing thai massages. They have separate floors for different massages and even male masseurs for men [no hanky panky!]. I would recommend that you make a reservation, esp in the evenings and weekends. Just get your hotel concierge to call for you once you check-in.

I would try Jim Thompson , it's better to reserve a table. Another good and reasonable option is Baan Kanitha , I think it's at soi 23 , you could also try the Mandarin Oriental hotel. it's a bit more expensive but fantastic ambience by the river , they take you there by a boat from the main hotel. we also tried the Thai restaurant at the anantara hotel on ratchadamri road , I think it's called spice market. they too serve good Thai food.
