*Precaution When Using a USB Connection
Disconnect the USB cable that connects the device and computer before installing the driver.
Connect the USB cable after installing the driver.
Driver and application software files have been compressed.
The following instructions show you how to download the compressed files and decompress them.
1. To download files, click the file link, select [Save], and specify the directory where you want
to save the file.The download will start automatically.
2. Downloaded files are saved in the specified folder in a self-extracting format [.exe format].
3. Double-click the files to decompress them. A new folder will be created in the same folder.The new folder will have the same name as the compressed file.
4. Double-click the decompressed Setup.exe file to start installation.

In order to use your printer and scanner properly, you need to install the drivers and software that allow it to work with your computer.
In this article we will show you how to find the driver/software needed for your operating system.
Whether you have a new printer or computer, an updated operating system, or for some reason your printer and computer are no longer able to communicate, updating or reinstalling your drivers may be helpful.
To utilize all functions of your printer/scanner, you may need the Canon software for your model. Below you will
learn how to find and install both of these.
Download drivers or software
Follow these steps to install Canon drivers or software for your printer / scanner.
Go to the Canon Support page so we can search for the specific printer model you have.
Enter your Canon model in the box. When your model appears below the box, click it.
You will be redirected to the support page for the model you searched for in the previous step.
Select the Software & Drivers button.
If you are installing your printer for the first time, have updated your computer operating system, or the printer is unable to communicate with the computer, you will need to download the recommended driver in order to print.
Choose the Download button to the right of the software or driver file you wish to download.
Once the download is complete, double-click on the file from the download location. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Special exceptions
If you use a Mac® and have certain PIXMA TS, TR or CanoScan models, drivers aren't available because they use AirPrint technology for printing / scanning.

Mac users will need to double-click the .PKG file which appears after double-clicking the downloaded file.
