KRIS SENANU

Kris is an accomplished business leader with 20+ years’ experience in creating enabling environments and building high-performance teams.He is currently the Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Safaricom where he is leading the charge to transform East Africa’s most successful Telco to transition to becoming a technology Company. Prior to this he was Managing Director of Telkom Digital.

Kris is fondly remembered as the youngest Telco executive to run a listed ICT company. He was instrumental in the startup of Access Kenya (Now Internet Solutions) and successfully helped it to become the first listed ICT firm on the Nairobi Securities Exchange. He then helped to expand the business’s footprint into East Africa and steering its acquisition by Internet Solutions in 2014, before exiting as its Deputy CEO, in 2016. Kris is a distinguished fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Kenya Institute of Management. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Warwick Business School as well as an International Business Administration Degree, majoring in Marketing, from USIU – Africa. Kris is also the Chair of the United States International University Council. Other past and present Chairmanships he holds include: the Governing Council at the Kenya Institute of Management, the Chair of the Pan African agency BTL Africa, headquartered in Ghana, and the financial solution provider Craft Silicon

Rotimi Olawale

Rotimi Olawale, Executive Director of YouthHubAfrica, is a youth development expert.
For more than ten years, he has been involved in leading youth advocacy efforts mainly around the Sustainable Development Goals. Rotimi is currently involved in shaping local, national and global policies to benefit youth and also leverage opportunities for young people. He was listed by the Nigerian government as one of 15 Nigerian youth on the world stage in 2008. Rotimi is consulted by many national and international agencies including The World Bank, The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), African Development Bank (AfDB), The International Republican Institute (IRI) and the African Union Youth Division among others on various issues related to youth policies and development.
Rotimi carries a camera with him on his frequent trips, taking pictures of people, things that tickle his fancy.

Ashley Mupfawa is the Founder and Executive Director at Connect Southern Africa, a regional social enterprise responding to the challenges face by Southern African Youth. Ruth Mawia is an entrepreneur, business coach and the Director of Koola waters, afribiz academy & several businesses in Kenya. Koola waters specializes in manufacturing, distribution, treatment & packaging of purified water. The company has been in business for close to seven years. He is also the founding Director of Intelsoft Limited in Kenya, an ICT consultancy firm that offers web based solutions and corporate training.

Erick Inghatt Matsanza is a Core Business Skills Training (CBST) Key Trainer for the Kenya Youth Employment Opportunities Project (KYEOP) under the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs. He has initiated the Kilimo Accelerator in western part of Kenya. Kilimo is Swahili for Farming. Kilimo Accelerator is a 6 months entrepreneurial life skills boot camp for local adolescent ages 13 – 17 years. It employs participants in producing and marketing crops, and bootstraps them with the guidance and resources they need to sell and make profit, which they can keep. Kilimo Accelerator nurtures young impact entrepreneurs or as we like to call them ‘agriprenuers’. Matsanza is the SIMA Awards USA Ambassador and host to SIMA Kenya.
