Child page instead of parent page top of seo năm 2024

My question is: should keep the current structure, or is it worth the effort to re-link the website in a parented way. Are there any benefites to one or the other, and could you point to some video tutorials or documentation to read.

  • Hi Niki, I think that your strategy to maintain the url short is good, it's always best to give short urls if they're descriptive enough. Normally the best thing to do is to give to users an URL which let them understand what a page is about without clicking into it, this may be beneficial also in linkbuilding since people linking to you with your url will involve also some traffic if the linking site is thematically related. About the structure I think that 3 categories are not that much, it really depends on how many products or child pages you have. The best thing to do is to organize them in a way which is thematically organized having all your page not more than 3-4 clicks away from your home, in that way you'll be sure that google can easily find and crawl them frequently because a page deep in your website may not be found or crawled that much.

Hi, I purchased an old domain with a lot of links that I'm redirecting to my site. I want all of their links to redirect to the same page on my site so I can approach this two different ways: Entire site 1.) RedirectMatch 301 ^(.*)$ http://www.xyz.com or Page by page 2). Redirect 301 /retiredpage.html http://www.xyz.com/newpage.html Is there a better option I should go with in regards to SEO effectiveness? Thanks in advance! Technical SEO | | ninel_P 0

Redirecting a single page to another website

We're moving one of our services from the current website to a different domain. That domain will be dedicated just to that service. Currently, we have one page for that service on our current website. It already has been crawled and ranks well for certain keywords. But, we would want to eventually delete that page. Can I set 301 redirection for that page to another domain? At what point should I remove the page from the existing website's back-end? Technical SEO | | infoAnalytica 1
  • Logo / H1 page structure

Not sure why I did it this way, but I need to know if this is bad for SEO - I suspect it is. Consider this is how the Logo and company name is shown on each page of our site. # UpCounsel, Inc Where the

title tag has a background image showing our company logo, rather than the actual company words. Then the CSS is also displacing the company text in favor of the logo, but also helps with accessbility so the first thing they see on the site is the company name. My question is - I should probably not use an H1 tag for this, right? And then in order to change this around, I should use H1's for the important title of the page. I understand there is some question about whether the page and H1 should be the same, but we don't need to go there right now. ;-)</p>

Duplicate titles / canonical / Drupal

I have a site where there are several duplicate titles, looks like mainly based on a parameterized vs. non-parameterized version of the page. I have what appears to be a proper canonical tag, but webmaster still complains of both duplicate titles & meta descriptions. A good example (taken out of webmaster report for http://igottadrive.com) is: /driving-tips/mirror-setup-and-use /driving-tips/mirror-setup-and-use?inline=true If I look at the page (in either case) there appears to be a correct canonical tag pointing to the base case. However, for some reason google is either ignoring the canonical or its not properly done. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Technical SEO | | uwaim2012 0

Need advanced SEO help!

Hi guys, This is my last attempt to work out what is up with this site before it goes to the big Flipper in the sky (and even then I doubt it will make much more than £1!) This site was a successful site, then one day Google decided it didnt like it, and I have not had much joy with it for nearly a year now. I must admit I tried to forget about it for a while, but it has always been a thorn in my side due to the fact it used to be a nice little earner. I have SEOmoz crawled it and I cant find any issues that would cause such a severe penalty, I removed many of the affiliate links, clocked the rest of the affiliate links and tried numurous other ideas, but now, as a last ditch attempt I am looking for some help! I tried to avoid the typical thin affiliate site by adding relevant content, but I have seen sites with much poorer design and content rank higher than this one. Any ideas welcome! Thanks in advance My site

Are child pages good for SEO?

  1. Good for SEOChild pages don't just help people navigate through your site better, they also make it easier for Search Engines to crawl your site. And crawling is fundamental to website success on Search.

What is the difference between a parent page and a child page in any website?

This often means the parent page covers an overarching theme and groups various child pages that are topically related. A child page can only have one parent page, but a parent page can have multiple child pages. So a child page can have sibling pages on the same level.

What is the difference between a landing page and a parent page?

A “Parent” page is the page a visitor must pass through before accessing a sub-page (as shown on the site hierarchy page via the “Landing Pages”). This automatically organizes your pages on the back-end as well as creating a breadcrumb path to visually ease the visitor with site navigation.

Should you use parent pages in WordPress?

One of the main reasons for a parent page and child page to exist in WordPress is to improve your navigation. Or in other words, make it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for.
