VPN services can be utilized when connected to the internet using your AirCard device. In some cases, the AirCard is connected to the internet but the VPN client is unable to establish a connection.
Symptoms:
- VPN client times out
- VPN connection fails
Process:
If you have problems making a VPN connection when using a NETGEAR AirCard on Windows 7, try one of the two options below:
- Install DriverInstaller Build 2514. With your Telstra Connection Manager software already installed, run driverinstaller.exe to overwrite the drivers loaded with Telstra Connection Manager.
- Run Telstra Connection Manager , then go to Menu icon > Options > General > Windows 7. Set Windows 7 Mobile Broadband to Disabled. Click Apply.
Alternatively, you can use Dial-Up Networking [DUN] connections, which are not affected by this problem.
