One of the most striking features of the present century is the progress of science and its effects on almost every aspect of social life. The advance of science and technology has brought the different parts of the world into closer touch with one another than ever before. We are able to reach distant lands within a very short time.

The citizen is considered so important that his rights are protected by the law of the state, and whenever they are infringed, he can secure redress. Every man should have an aim in lift. An aim keeps a man steady in life. A proverb goes that a man without an aim is like a ship without a rudder. A ship without a rudder effaces danger. Similarly, a man without an aim cannot reach his goal. Different persons have different aims. Some wants to be doctor, some wants to be engineers and other want to be teachers and so on. But my aim in life is to be a doctor. 

There are many reasons for choosing the profession of a doctor. The village people in our country are very poor. They suffer from various diseases but there is no qualified doctor to serve them. There are a few quacks but they cannot serve them properly. Many people meet ultimate death for want of proper treatment. So, I have decided to serve the people of my village through this profession.

Medical college takes only brighter students with good results in the NHSGE, at which I am now appearing. I have prepared well in all the subjects. I am sure to cut a good figure in the examination. After passing the NHSGE with a brilliant result, I shall get myself admitted into a Medical College. 

After obtaining the MBBS. degree, I shall go back to my native village and set myself to serve my village people through practice. I will charge reasonable fee my patients. I will not take any fees from the poor people. It is my determination to set up a charitable dispensary and distribute medicines to the poor free of cost. I have also a plan to set up a hospital with few beds for serious cases. I shall stop the practice of the quack.

The man who has self-confidence and definite aim in life can surely succeed. Success in life depends much on the proper choice of a profession. I believe that I shall be able to reach my goal and serve the nation.

Mỗi người nên có một lý tưởng của riêng mình do lý tưởng chính là thứ giúp con người ta không ngừng cố gắng. Ngạn ngữ cũng có câu: “Người không chí như thuyền không lái.” Thuyền không lái khó tránh tai họa, người không chí chẳng thể làm được gì. Và mỗi người lại có một chí hướng khác nhau. Có người muốn trở thành bác sĩ, người muốn làm kỹ sư, người lại muốn làm nhà giáo. Còn lý tưởng của tôi là trở thành bác sĩ.

Có rất nhiều lý do khiến tôi chọn theo đuổi công việc bác sĩ này. Ở nước tôi vẫn còn nhiều thôn làng mà người dân còn nghèo khổ. Họ mắc nhiề bệnh tật nhưng lại không có các y bác sĩ đủ chuyên môn để chữa trị. Lại còn thêm nạn lang băm khiến họ càng thêm khổ.  Cũng vì thế mà nhiều người phải bất hạnh qua đời. Do đó, tôi theo đuổi ngành nghề này nhằm mong giúp ích được cho người dân của mình.

Hiện tại các trường Đại học Y đều chỉ tuyển sinh những người có kết quả cao trong kỳ thi Tốt nghiệp THPT Quốc gia, cũng là kỳ thi mà tôi sắp tham dự. Và tôi cũng đã chuẩn bị cẩn thận ở các môn học của mình. Tôi nhất định sẽ đạt kết quả tốt trong kỳ thi lần này. Sau khi vượt qua kỳ thi với điểm số cao, tôi sẽ được nhận vào một trường Đại học Y. 

Sau đó khi lấy được bằng bác sĩ, tôi sẽ trở về làng mình để làm việc và phục vụ cho người dân tại đây. Tôi sẽ lấy giá hợp lý đối với bệnh nhân của mình và không tính tiền với những bệnh nhân có hoàn cảnh khó khăn. Tôi còn mong muốn lập được một trạm xá từ thiện để chẩn trị và phát thuốc miễn phí cho người nghèo. Tôi còn có kế hoạch mở một phòng khám với vài giường bệnh để chữa trị các trường hợp nguy cấp. Tôi sẽ chấm dứt nạn lang băm tại nơi này.

Người có lý tưởng và lòng tin vào bản thân mình nhất định sẽ thành công trong cuộc sống, mà một phần trong đó phụ thuộc vào quyết định ngành nghề của mình. Và tôi tin rằng mình sẽ đạt được mục tiêu này để sống và phục vụ cho mọi người trong nước.
