The Chinese National Health Commission announced Thursday that, as of Wednesday, it has received a total of 7,771 cases of novel coronavirus, 31 instances of which were deemed to be severe. With about 100 cases reported in around 19 countries, Beijing and international governments have taken measures to restrict travel in and out of China. Now the world's most populous country has grown isolated as neighbors move to protect their populations.
