Spent almost two hours trying to speak to a representative to make a minor change in my policy - I made a typo in my name and could not correct online and customer service wouldn’t respond to emails or let me speak to a representative. Therefore, I cancelled the policy. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to file a claim.

This is the first time using you service. It was mention to us by our travel agent. The sign up process was easy. Hopefully if for some unforeseen reason we would have to use the policy, I hope the process will be the same. I then will give an accurate experience.

  • Includes wide ranging COVID coverage
  • Pre-exisiting medical condition coverage (Premium plan)

Cons

  • Rental car coverage only on highest cost plan
  • CFAR only covers 60% of travel costs (75% is found elsewhere)
  • Baggage delay benefits don't kick in until 24 hrs on Standard plan

Difficult to respond given I didn’t use the coverage. It is reasuring the coverage is in place. It is easy to acquire and compare using the Insure mytrip site.

Unfortunately, I had to file a claim for a missed trip due to a medical problem. Generali settled my claim quickly, politely, and fully. I am more than satisfied with both Generali and Insuremytrip.com!

Is Generali a good trip insurance?

Generali's Premium plan provides very good benefits at a decent average price. It has excellent trip interruption insurance and very good baggage loss coverage.
