Recognised Seasonal Employer allocationEmployers in the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) Scheme get an RSE allocation each year based on the number available. The allocation is how many workers they can hire and bring into New Zealand on the RSE Limited Visa. The Government sets the total number of RSE workers who can work under the RSE scheme. It is called the RSE National Cap. The cap for the 2023/2024 season is 19,500. The cap is usually set each year, but in some years it stays the same. If there is an increase to the RSE National Cap, it means more of an allocation for employers.
