Lỗi unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped năm 2024

The problem is due to the outdated version of Google Play Services that comes with Tesco Lollipop update, which is no longer compatible with the new versions of many of the default apps that are updated automatically in the background. Unfortunately, this means the version of Google Play Services will automatically be out of date when your reset your Hudl2 to factory defaults. This means you will encounter this problem if you buy a refurbished Hudl2 on eBay, or if we replace the motherboard on your Hudl2, or if you factory reset your own Hudl2. However, the good news is that it is possible to fix this, with some difficulty…

When you start seeing the error message above, here are the steps you need to take to resolve it:

Navigate to settings. You have to be quick to do this as you will only have a fraction of a second to touch the screen after you click OK on “Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped” message, before it reappears. Never the less, it is possible to do this, tedious as it may be.

Once in settings, Apps, scroll right to “All”, and scroll down until you find “Google Services Framework”. The message will appear several times as you scroll down, but stick with it and you will eventually find “Google Services Framework“. Click on this and press “Clear Data”.

This should buy you some time before the issue reoccurs. However, what you want to do is resolve the issue permanently. This can be done by updating Google Play Services. The trouble is you can’t just download this from the Play Store. Instead you need to download something that has a dependency on Google Play Services, as you will then be taken to a Page on the play store where you can download it. Once it is installed you won’t see the error again.

If you see any grey triangles with an excalmation mark in the middle at the top right of the notification area on your home screen, swipe down and select one of these. This should take you to a page on the Play Store (like the one above) where you can download the updated version of Google Play Services by clicking the “UPDATE” button. If you don’t see any grey triangles, open Google Play and download the Play Games app. This will also take you to a Google Play Services page. Once it’s installed, reboot your Hudl2.

This is one of the problems that will only recently have started occurring on the Hudl2 as it effectively trapped on Lollipop island while the rest of Android zooms away into the future. It probably won’t be the last problem to occur with the Hudl2 as time goes by, as gradually there will be less and less pressure for developers to make apps that work on obsolete version of Android.
