Top 10 american idol 2023 list with pictures năm 2024

Last week’s American Idol was certainly brutal as we said goodbye to a total of 14 contestants across two nights. First, the Top 26 became the Top 20, followed by the Top 20 becoming the Top 12. In tonight’s episode, we said goodbye to two more contestants as this season’s Top 10 are chosen.

But before that, season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert has made a return to the show to mentor the Top 12 as they prepare to take the Hollywood stage once again. He was of course the perfect choice as tonight’s episode, appropriately called “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night” followed that very genre. And who better than Lambert himself to offer some advice in rock and roll!?

Last week, 10 hopefuls made it through based on our votes at home, while the judges chose the other two, Lucy Love and Nutsa, saving them from the Danger Zone and rounding out the Top 12. Tonight, the Top 12 performed, and we had to vote during the two-hour episode to decide who got into the Top 10. Who is continuing on in the competition? Check out the full list (and photo!) below!

*Click here to see who from the Top 10 made it into the Top 7 (surprise, it’s actually the Top 8!)*

* Note – the following results were updated live during the airing of the episode

It was a tough couple of weeks for contestants Lucy Love and Nutsa. Last week, the two were in the Danger Zone of possibly going home but were saved by the judges. Unfortunately in tonight’s episode, there was no option to do that as it was completely up to votes at home who made it through. Both Lucy and Nutsa’s Idol journeys have now come to an end.

UPDATE 5/1/23 – The show surprised us yet again and instead of the Top 7, one contestant was saved from elimination. That was Oliver Steele. So going into next week, we actually have the Top 8!

Tomorrow night, Monday, May 1, 2023, there will be a new episode of American Idol on ABC. “Judge’s Song Contest” will see judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan offer songs they think would be a good fit for the remaining contestants, and the Top 10 will choose which tune to sing for their shot into making into the Top 7. Those results will be revealed tomorrow evening starting at 8 p.m. ET.

The twenty-first season of American Idol premiered on February 19, 2023, on the ABC television network. Ryan Seacrest returned as host; Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie returned as judges.

Iam Tongi won the season on May 21, 2023, while Megan Danielle was the runner-up, and Colin Stough finished in third place.

Auditions[edit]

The Idol Across America virtual auditions program returned from the previous two seasons. Remote auditions took place from August 3 to September 14, 2022, as well as a number of open-call auditions, and from these, the producers selected the contestants who were then invited to audition in front of the judges.

The "platinum ticket" also returned from last season. During the audition round, a total of three platinum tickets were awarded, and they gave the recipients the opportunity to advance directly to the second round of Hollywood week as well as choose their partners for that week's duet challenge before the remaining contestants were paired. During the American Music Awards, three contestants advancing to Hollywood week also were given the opportunity to win a fourth platinum ticket. The platinum ticket recipients were Cam Amen, Kaylin Hedges, Elijah McCormick, and Tyson Venegas.

Hollywood week[edit]

Hollywood week was filmed December 4–7, 2022, at the Los Angeles Theatre in Los Angeles. There were some changes to the format this season. Instead of having the contestants choose a specific genre, the contestants instead had to choose one area of performance to work on: confidence, songwriting, and stage presence. Contestants were again mentored by American Idol alumni: Clay Aiken and David Archuleta (confidence), Phillip Phillips and Catie Turner (songwriting), and Justin Guarini and Jordin Sparks (stage presence). Those who impressed the judges and the producers were advanced to the next round. The contestants were paired up by the judges and performed duets. They were given twelve hours to rehearse, which included consultation with a vocal coach, a stage rehearsal, and advice from one of the judges. Judges could advance either, neither, or both of the contestants to the Showstopper round.

Who just got voted off American Idol?

"American Idol" had to say goodbye to Jayna Elise and Roman Collins to say hello to this season's Top 10. And now that they're here, the judges say they've got more work to do to stay here! "Now it has to be individuality. In other words, it has to be where you actually stand out as the artist," said Lionel Richie.
