Bcdedit is not recognized windows 7 là gì năm 2024

This is the issue that I have been getting for over a week, I've reinstalled windows 3 times since it could've been a corrupt file, I've been all over google and I've done everything that has been suggested from people + what I could find here on the internet, so if there's someone that has any clue what this could be then I would really appreciate it.

Hello,

Where are you accessing CMD as admin from? Is this a x64 or x86 computer? This could be a classic case of Windows redirect, Open up your command window and enter in the following command: C:\Windows\Sysnative\bcdedit

The problem might also be caused by the file system redirection. Is your package marked as 64bit package in the Install Parameters page in Advanced Installer?

If you still can not troubleshoot the issue, please send your .aip project file and an install log to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can further investigate the problem.

There can be many reasons. It's difficult to tell as you didn't provide much information to debug this.

Using /K instead of /C is the first step, as it will keep the cmd.exe window open, so that you can see, if there are any error messages.

When I use your [Run] section entry in a trivial installer, I get:

'bcdedit.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

On my system (and I believe it would be the same on yours), it's because I'm running Windows 64-bit and the bcdedit.exe is in C:\Windows\System32. As Inno Setup in a 32-bit application, it by default gets redirected to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (32-bit version of C:\Windows\System32). And there's no 32-bit version of bcdedit.exe.
