Can you boot a PC using a phone?
OK so in about 5 days I'm going to build my own pc by myself so I'd really appreciate it if you could reply before that, thanks. Show So the pre-built PCs are kinda expensive so I'm gonna build my own, I have everything sorted out except for the OS. This PC is going to be my very first so I don't have a computer to download the iso file on a flash drive and use it to boot the PC that I build. However I do have a phone where I can download the OS, so I was wondering if it would be possible to boot Windows 10 with my phone instead of a flash drive. BTW my phone is not rooted. All of the tutorials I've watched on YouTube assumed that I already have a PC so no one really explained how I'd boot Windows 10 without a flash drive. Normally I'd go to a friend to download the os but her PC isn't working right now, apparently she burned something in her psu and it's going to take about a month to fix. I do not mind if it takes a bit longer than usual, I can cope with that. I do not mind using windows 10 with the watermark, I'll buy the key later as I'm on a low budget right now. I do not mind if everything gets wiped out from the said phone but it'd be preferable if everything didn't get wiped out. I'll be using my mom's phone so she will be a bit mad if everything gets deleted. If you have any experience with booting a pc with your phone then please share them with me. Also I'd really appreciate it if you could mention any errors you ran into. Any type of advice you have would be a big help since I have no experience at all. EDIT: First of all thank you very much for all the advice, I really appreciate it. Solution to the problem: As it turns out you need to root your phone to use it as a flash drive so it is possible to use your phone as a flash drive. But my phone isn't rooted so someone suggested that I use my phone to make the bootable flash drive. So what I'm going to do is download the iso file on a sd card using my phone. And use this app called iso to USB, select the iso file which I downloaded off the official Microsoft website and after formatting the sd card tap start. When it's done putting it in a USB adapter should do the trick. That's all the info I got from the thread, once again thanks.
