I like them both for hot summer weather. The original Couture La La is a... Now I love every single thing Juicy Couture does! You can always count on them to create a scent that will not only suit everyone, but every one will love! While I did like the smell of this, it didn't really blow my mind away. Here's why.. I do love the bottle, the girls are going towards a new slim, long design following their latest Couture La la perfume, which I think is nice and will look great mixing and matching the two different shaped Couture bottles on your display. It has the standard cap, and a nice orange silhouette of palm trees to it! The giant heart on the cap however, really annoys me, and to be fair, I think the bottle would look much nicer without it! Now the actual scent. I feel the scent strongly exemplifies both the name of the perfume and the bottle itself. Basically it smells like fanta soda, or a great tropical smoothie made from mangoes, oranges and passionfruit - to match the orange bottle. But it's nice, in that it smells much, much sweeter, yet it's not overly sweet. I want to say it's really sweet, but it's also subtle if that makes sense. The sales lady told me that it's base notes are musk, which I guess brings down that sweetness. It's a perfect blend really, not too heavy, not too weak either. it is actually quite classy, and would suit any age range. Again, like the name suggest "Malibu" this is a great summer time, day time scent, to wear to the beach, out lunch or out and about! It really has captured summer in a bottle. My problem with this is that it doesn't necessarily smell like a perfume. It smells like a body spray that you would get from The Body Shop, or even from one of their body butters. To my personal taste, I do like perfumes to have more notes, so that I don't smell like I've rubbed a single piece of fruit all over my body, and I actually think the scent is one that can be found in a lot of other brands etc. Our servers are getting hit pretty hard right now.
