Review klairs rich moist foaming cleanser

Korean cleansers are a hit and miss with me with majority of a foaming kind being a miss, just because they are usually quite harsh on the skin. I am talking about the kind of cleansers that leave your face squeaky clean. I am happy to say that Dear Klairs Rich Moist Foaming cleanser is a pleasant exception, but keep reading to find out whether it is the right one for you.

Usage and consistency of Dear Klairs Rich Moist Foaming Cleanser

The cleanser comes in a plastic bottle with a pump. By consistency it’s a transparent liquid that once going through the pump comes out as a white weightless foam. I personally like to use two to three pumps per one cleansing but realistically one to two pumps is more than enough, I just like my face to be extra foamy 🙂

You can use it in the mornings and evenings, I preferred it for an evening cleanse after removing my makeup. I know some people use this foaming cleanser as a makeup remover, but I would not recommend that. Don’t try to cleanse your eyes with it either – it will be obviously sting.

The cleanser has a distinct tea tree oil scent, which I personally am not a big fan of, but my husband likes it, so to each their own.

Results and conclusions

Overall I really enjoyed this cleanser, it’s super soft and gentle and cleanses really well without stripping the skin. After using it my skin never felt tight or dry, but it did feel clean. I would just recommend shaking the bottle before pumping up foam for a better, fluffier result 🙂

It did not irritate or aggravate my redness either. I would not say it soothed, but it cleansed gently and that’s good enough for me. My only two concerns with this cleanser are the size and the scent. I feel like for a price it can definitely be at least 120 ml if not 150 ml. And the scent is just not that pleasant for me personally.

Does foaming cleanser work better?

Both cream cleansers and gel cleansers are great for gently cleaning and moisturizing skin, but without the bubbles to really target the dirt and oil as deeply. Gel and cream cleansers are a great fit for dry and combination skin, while foaming cleansers generally work best for complexions that are on the oilier side.
