As the title says, when I attempt to launch the game in DX11, it gives me the mentioned error. I have a AMD Radeon R9 280X, so it's more than capable to run the game. Heck, I can play Doom on max settings, so...it's something I missed? Some C++ 2015 or what? 1–15/16 megjegyzés mutatása Bumping this. I've updated the drivers, DX aswell and still the error persists. Sounds like the game is using yer onboard integrated video instead of yer dedicated card. The motherboard doesn't have integrated video. All the other games run w/o issues in DX11, so...idk. Edit: Also I'm running on Windows 7 x64 and it doesn't have all the updates to day. Takes too damn long to make 'em and since no game required a specific update, I didn't bothered. Windows 7 x64 gtx750 which usually run dx11 games just fine. update: just checked it out on another pc with radeon 7770 and it works okay in dx11 mode. People really need to stop using AMD ... there's a reason their market share is tanking like a lead ball. Horrible performance, outdated buggy drivers etc. They've also stopped focusing on GPU's, and trying to take back the CPU market (where they've pretty much been dead on, so that's going to be interesting) Remember, this isn't ATi. They basically ran the entire GPU series into the ground after the merge, and with the new CPU's coming up, it looks like they've pretty much given up the GPU market. Seifa Sorry to bump this thread, but i'm having the same issue on an i5 4670, gtx 970, 8gb ram and Win 7 spi1 (updated). If i try to start the dx11 client from steam, it gives me the error from the OP, if i open ShantaeHero64.exe from the installation folder, it starts the 32bit client.... I sent an email to Wayfoward but still no answer and their forum is not that active... Anyone found a solution? Beside, i can play the game in 32bit, but i notice some frame drops here and there, nothing major, but i'd like to test the better client. :( eredeti hozzászólása: 1. All hardware that support DX8 and higher gets massive performance boost on Win10 due to the retroactive overhead fixes on DX12. I'm playing this game perfectly fine on Windows 7 SP1 32bit (with all available updates for it), with a Core i5 3Ghz Quad Core processor, 4GB Ram and a 2GB Radeon R7 240 (card compatible with Windows 8.1 by the way) graphics card and no issues here. I'm already at around 60% of the game completed and 22 Achievements unlocked. The game for me plays with no errors at all. No glitches, no fps drops, no nothing. just perfection :) I can safely say it has nothing to do with trying the game on Windows 7 since on the minimum requirements lists Windows 7, so it has been optimized for that OS as well. Unless the 64bit exe only works on Windows 8 and Windows 10 which I really doubt it, or else we would see lots of posts here with that problem since Windows 7 is still used by a lot of people. Now that's odd. I mean I have a Radeon R7 240 and the game works perfectly for me. the gtx1060 should be compatible with DX11 o.o The DX11 option works for me on my rig running Windows 7 Enterprise N (x64) updated to Service Pack 1 on an Intel i7 970 with 12GB DDR3 system RAM and an EVGA NVidia GeForce GTX1070 with 8GB GDDR5 dedicated video RAM. My suggestions are: 1. Install the updates for your OS. 2. Try downloading DirectX11 from the microsoft website. 3. If your motherboard has integrated video then you should check the settings in your BIOS to ensure that the computer is configured to use the dedicated video card rather than the integrated video. OS updates are an important part of keeping your computer running smoothly and they are only a pain in the rear if you let them pile up, otherwise they are a relatively minor inconvenience (assuming you get decent speeds from your ISP that is). Microsoft also tends to update things like DirectX through windows update, so you should definitely consider installing your updates. Good luck to all of you with this issue. I sincerely hope that you are able to fix it. Fortunately, there is the 32-bit option that you can use in the mean time to play the game. |
