Innisfree apple juicy cleansing oil review năm 2024

I love this gel cleanser! It doesn't foam and its more like an oil cleanser and very similar to the Innisfree Apple Juicy cleansing oil. I used this while one vacation in the desert to remove all my makeup after a hot day and I loved how easy it was to use even though I was camping and didn't have running water. It melts your makeup off and really leaves your skin soft. I do sometimes double cleanse after just to deep clean my pores but this product cleanses thoroughly itself!

I did a mini review of Innisfree's Apple Juicy Cleansing oil when I first bought it in July, but since I'm still totally loving it a couple months on, I thought I'd do a more detailed review with all the "Apple Juicy" details. HA HA HA! Oh my.

The cleanser is 150mL in size and comes in a bright green pump bottle. Just in case you've never heard of Innisfree, they're an inexpensive Korean brand featuring "natural" extracts in their skincare and an eco-friendly concept. Their products don't have the cutest designs in the big wide world of Korean cosmetics packaging, but they are often of decent quality for the price and I think they are functionally attractive, if that makes sense.

I use oil cleansers like a lot of people do - as the first step in a "double cleansing" routine to help remove makeup. If you've never done double cleansing with a cleansing oil before, let me explain: You massage the oil onto your (dry) face, which helps loosen up grime and makeup. Once you're satisfied that you've loosened up most of the crud, you rinse it off. Oil cleanser is not the same thing as using straight oil on your face or what is commonly known as "the oil cleansing method" - Oil cleansers such as this one are designed to emulsify when mixed with water, making them easy to rinse off while leaving very little (or no) greasy residue. A lot of people will follow the oil cleanser step with a foaming or creamy cleanser to get any last bits of dirt off - hence the term "double cleansing".

I actually never noticed the "this line offers softness and healthy radiance to your skin like a freshly washed apple" tagline until I was editing this photo. Hmm. I'm not sure I want my skin looking like a freshly-washed apple, but I do like the idea of a cleansing product that smells like apples, and this fits the bill nicely. The scent is incredibly tart and vibrant, but not in the way that makes me feel lightheaded or sneezy like some fragranced products do. After you rinse the product off a little bit of apple smell remains on your skin, but not in an overpowering way.

If you like your apple-scented products to contain actual apple extract, you're in luck because this one does! I couldn't get a clear picture of the ingredients list on the label, but I checked it against this COSDNA listing and the ingredients listed there match what's on my bottle. One thing that should be noted about the ingredients list is that it's "4-free": Free of mineral oil, artificial colors, animal ingredients and ethanol. Makes sense for an eco-friendly brand.

The nozzle is very thin and doesn't overdispense the product. I find that one to two pumps are enough for my face, so I would say the design of that aspect is just right. Also, see that little plastic ring below the pump? That comes off. It's basically a "safety lock" that keeps you from accidentally pressing the pump and squirting oil everywhere when you're rummaging around in your basket of bathroom crap. Everybody has a basket of bathroom crap, right? Anyway, it's a small touch but a useful one, because if it wasn't there I probably would have emptied half the bottle onto the back of my toilet on accident by now.

No artificial color, right? As you can see, the cleanser changes from clear and oily to white and milky once water is added.

So that's all well and good, but my two favorite things about Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil are (a) how cleanly it rinses away when you're done and (b) how well it removes makeup. Check out how it fares against liquid eyeliner:

See that? Not only did it get off 99% of the eyeliner, but it also didn't leave any greasy residue. Now, I'm going to be honest - if you wear waterproof mascara and/or a ton of eye makeup you might want to use an additional eye makeup remover before you start in with the cleansing oil, but this actually does quite well by itself in a pinch.

Would I purchase it again? Most definitely. There are other oil cleansers on my wishlist, but I like this one so much that I'm feeling conflicted about buying them. Life is tough, I know.

Bottom line: Innisfree's Apple Juicy is an effective oil cleanser and makeup remover with a wonderfully refreshing scent. It might not be heavy enough for people who use oil as a sole cleanser, but as part of a double cleansing routine it's A-OK in my book.
